Southall Lions Club & West Drayton Branch Club Activities Summary 1st July 2020 to 30 th June 2021
1. Other Service Activities

Approx. 14,080 people/meals served during this year. This covered: -
-
Cooked meals collected delivered to Southall Food Hall and Muslim Hands-on weekly basis
-
Meals collected and delivered to Ealing Hospital on requested days during the lockdown
-
Bakery items picked up from LIDL with Customer Donations and delivered to food banks
-
Vanload of fresh fruit and vegetables delivered to the Food-hall
-
Bakery products picked up from LIDL daily also delivered to Dormers Wells School
-
Cakes from Hummingbird Bakeries collected daily and delivered to Southall Street Homeless, Southall Food Bank, Hillingdon Food Bank and Acton Homeless Concern.

Tinned beans, rice and noodles for 200 people and cakes for 100 people delivered to Feltham and Whitton Lions Club.

Boxes of cereals and cans of chickpeas, red beans etc delivered to Southall Food Bank.

90 cup cakes and one large cake picked up and delivered to Ealing soup kitchen based at the Salvation Army premises in West Ealing. 100 Food bags prepared and delivered too.

Cooked Meals and boxes of sweet potatoes and tortillas collected and distributed at the food bank.

A member of the West Drayton Branch distributed food in conjunction with SWAT (a SIKH Charity) delivered meals to households in Greenford and Southall. on a weekly basis for a few months.

Baby clothing (4 large bags) collected from members' families donated to the baby bank in Southall.

Presents delivered to Allenby Primary School in Southall covering educational toys and educational board games.

15 Sleeping bags delivered to Southall homeless during the winter

Kids clothing and toys collected from members donated to Southall Food Hall

A member of the West Drayton Branch distributed food in conjunction with Hillingdon Food Bank delivering meals to households who were self-isolating or in need.

Members, friends & family worked in the “Food For All” Kitchen in Holborn to cook and package hot meals.
