The role of Assistant Director in an
, existing choir for adults who experience
mental health difliculties was funded by
Emerging Voices in 2021. The Assistant
Director has lived experience of mental
ill health and was previously a member
ol the choir. The role has enabled this
,' person to progress taking on leadership
of the choir when the choir Director has
I been away.
merging Voices has funded some
j workshops and short courses including
°Sing Your Story.. "Piano Improvisation"
, and "Oriental Music.. In addition to this
,, the charity funded two open mic nights
online and one showcase concert. This
enabled musicians to showcase their
talents and IK)ost their self-confidence.
| The charity has funded one to one
i instrumental tuition for 14 adults with
mental health problems in 2021122. The
tuition has helped people to progress
| with their musicianship and access our
I perfomiance and recording
