To advance the Hindu religion for the benefit of the public including the holding of prayer meetings, lectures and public celebration of religious festivals. To produce and/or distribute literature on the Hindu religion to enlighten others.

To advance the education of the public including religious education in the history, culture and traditions of the Hindu religion through social and other media and religious events.

To promote for thee inhabitants of Bolton and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth , age ,infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the objects of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

The promotion and preservation of good health for the public benefit and in particular but without limitation through the organisation of physical activity sessions and the dissemination of information to promote physical and mental health.

1The period covered by this report coincided almost entirely with the commencement of the Covid pandemic. As a result activities had to be cancelled due to the restrictions in place,
2 Fund raising was not possible and reliance was placed on the Covid related grants which were received.
3The only event during the year was a Festival of Navatri which was very successful despite thee pandemic.

4 Our chairman Manu Mistry sadly passed away suddenly in January 2021. This left the organisation devastated and we wish to place on record our love and thanks .

6 We organised and delivered a Shopping and Delivery service for the community members who were shielding and had no other means of support.We looked after eight families throughout and three families for a shorter period (until their family took over their needs ). The service was well received and greatly appreciated.
7 We delivered a “Virtual Diwali “ via Zoom and Teams which was well appreciated by the community that remained housebound during the festive season.

- Similarly, our CEO (Manu Mistry) presented a virtual New Years Eve programme on Zoom and BHF Radio. Again, this was a successful event in connecting the communities worldwide. (Sadly this was his last event before being rushed to hospital and succumbing to Covid)

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2021

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
