|||The Diversity Programme, supported by<br>Mosaic, a mentoring initiative founded<br>by HRH The Prince of Wales and the<br>Times Education Supplement, was<br>launched in 2014 by the Deputy Prime<br>Minister, Rt Honourable<br>Nick Clegg.  The Programme<br>encourages young people from minority<br>and disadvantaged communities to visit<br>cultural institutions and provides them<br>with unique opportunities such as visits<br>to St James Palace and Clarence<br>House to learn about the rich heritage<br>of diverse role models in Britain, like<br>Princess Saphire Singh, who played a<br>vital role in the Suffragette movement.<br>The Foundation looks at Free School<br>Meal Data when selecting schools for<br>the programme.<br>**Naz Bokhari Award**<br>The Naz Bokhari Award is an annual<br>award for students who achieve<br>university acceptance despite adversity,<br>who have to strive harder than others<br>due to personal or social issues. This<br>award recognises resilience and<br>perseverance, qualities that Naz had,<br>and promoted. Nominated by their<br>peers and teachers at Ernest Bevin<br>College, the winner is chosen by the<br>Principal each year.|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the<br>charity, identifying the<br>difference the charity’s<br>work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any<br>wider benefits to society<br>as a whole.|Para 1.20|**Interfaith Iftar**<br>In May 2019, we organised the first<br>ever interfaith gathering and Iftar at St<br>Pauls Cathedral and Guildhall, London.<br>The event was organised in partnership<br>with St Paul’s Cathedral and the City of<br>London and aimed to bring together<br>young people from all faiths and none<br>to celebrate the diversity of London.<br>Over 100 young people, from all faiths<br>and none, attended the Interfaith<br>gathering at St Pauls and the Iftar<br>dinner at Guildhall.<br>Additionally, to the Mayor of London<br>and the Bishop of London, the Deputy<br>Chief Mission at the United States<br>Embassy, the Remembrancer, the<br>Permanent Secretary (MHCLG),<br>Melanie Dawes, Lord Rumi Veerjee and<br>Sir Trevor Pears were also in<br>attendance. Also in attendance were<br>representatives of the Princes Trust,<br>Board of Deputies of British Jews,<br>Mitzvah Day, Islamic Relief, British<br>Asian Trust, Faith Forum, the Faith and<br>Belief Forum and CAFOD.<br>The Interfaith Gathering and Iftar<br>received very good media coverage<br>from mainstream media, such as, BBC<br>London and Evening Standard. The<br>event was also featured in faith and|

community media, including; Premier Christian radio and Geo News. The Evaluation from the evening found that 78% of the attendees felt more knowledgeable about other faith and 79% of attendees felt that they would be able to transmit the knowledge they had gained at the Iftar to others. **Diversity Programme** In 2019/2020 we had developed a partnership with the venues below to host a Diversity Day: The Telegraph The Tower of London University of Cambridge Across the Diversity Days, over 120 young people took part in various activities including, tour of a newsroom critical thinking session walking tour of University of Cambridge spoken word with Fusion Lit careers talk application assistance We were honoured to have the work we do with young people from underrepresented communities via our Diversity Programme be recognised by the Faith & Belief Forum at their annual Community Awards Reception at the Royal Society of Medicine on Tuesday 26th November 2019. Over 100 young people across London joined the Diversity Programme in 2019/2020. The evaluation report from the programme found that 96% of young people who took part in the programme strongly felt the programme improved their understanding and knowledge of diversity in Britain. Unfortunately, due to the Covid19 pandemic, the programme ended in March and planned Diversity Days to HSBC and Lord Cricket Ground have been postponed. On average the young people entitled to free school meals on the Diversity programme is 20%.

**Naz Bokhari Award** This award recognises resilience and perseverance, qualities that Naz had, and promoted. Nominated by their peers and teachers at Ernest Bevin College, the winner is chosen by the Principal each year. On Thursday 19th September 2019, Nadirah Alam, received the Naz Bokhari Award in front of her friends and family at a special assembly arranged by Ernest Bevin College. Nadirah became our first female recipient of the award and is now studying medicine at Queen Mary University, London.
