Report for the Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish st of St. Andrew, Oakington for the year ended 31 December 2023 St. Andrew's Parochial Church Council ￿CC) has the resp()nsibility of co-operating with the incumbcnt, thc R¢v¢rcnd James Alexander, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish: the whole mission of the chur¢lL pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. St Andrew's aim is to be Jesus centred The PCC is also specifically r¢sponsAble for the nlainknce of the fabri¢ of the Church of St Andrew's and the Chwch hall. The PCC is committed to enabling as many people as possibl¢ to worship at OUT church and to become part of our parish community at St Andrew's. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, scripture. music and the sacrament. Ivhen planning for activities for the year, we have considered the Commissioners guidance on chaTities for the a(Ivancement of religion; in particular, we ty to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of our parish cottunullity Deanery synod There is one member on the Dean¢ry Synod. This provides the PCC with an important link between the parish and the rest of the deanery. Pastoral care sO￿t membcrs of our patish arc utthle to attend church du¢ to sicknes4 agc or Shielding. Our Famili¢s worker has worked alongsidc the Tr￿lage in providing help where necessary during the shutdowns. Mission 2nd Evangelis Flclping thosc in need is a deEnonstration of our faith. Our Mission Group leads the church's mission to: Peter & Ruth Manwell in Uganda Several projects kn TaDzaDia A project in Pakislan As well as local projects in Englan(L The n]ission and evangelism committee is to b¢ congratulated on its fund-raising efforts. Our Parish magazine is distributed bi-monthly to all parishioners on the Church Electoral roll and to the whole village. The n￿azIne keeps our parishioners infonned of the important matters affecting our church and articles that h¢lp develop our knowledge and trust in Jesus. Financial R￿neW Total incoming resources in 2023 were£182.076 (2022 £248.139) of which £1 10,607 were unrestricted (2022 £119.749).Outgoings were £196,306 (2022 £165,190) of which unrestricted expenditure was £104,307 (2022 £96,599) including £60.000 (2022 £54,765) for th¢ Parish Share. Reserves Policy Our policy is to ensur¢ that w¢ hold sufficient reserves to cover normal exp¢nditure on all church activities for 6 mollths. Reserves now stand at £146.821(2022 £161.051). The PCC continues to monitor this at every meeting.

Volunteers Th¢ PCC is grdtefid for the servant heartedness of all the volunteers who work behind the scenes in many ways: Church cleaning, flowers, grass cutting and bell ringing. Structure, Governance and M2Dagem¢nt The meth(Kl of appointment of PCC rneMl￿ is set out in the Church Representation Rules. Our PCC memb¢rsbip consists of our vicar, churchwarden& deanery representatives, and elected members of the collgregatio￿ who are on th¢ ¢l¢ctoral rolc. The PCC members are responsible for Tnaking decisions on all matter of g¢ncral concern and importance to the parish including on how the funds of the PCC are to be spent. The PCC met bi-monthly. Sub con)mittees of the PCC meet to advise the PCC on Fabric and th¢ running of the church hall. The AGM was held on the 24 April 2023.
