Baroque In The North is a period-instrument ensemble specialising in performances of 17th-18th century music. Their concerts and recordings provide professional performance opportunities and work experience for early career performers and recent graduates. They work closely with local choirs, and deliver workshops aimed at young people, students, graduates, music teachers and amateurs.

Objects: To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Subject Of 16th-19th Century Classical Musicfor The Public Benefit To Promote The Education Of People In Such Ways As The Charity Trustees See Fit Including By:1.providing Work Experience Opportunities In A Professional Setting For Those In Full- Or Part-Time Education 2.providing Workshops For Young People, Students, Graduates, Music Teachers And Amateurs To Advance Their Skills And Knowledge In The Subject Of 16th-19th Century Classical Music3.providing Professional Performance Opportunities For Early Career Performers And Recent Graduates4.educating The Public Through Promoting Concerts And Workshops.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005.
