RELOCATING OUR IMMERSWE EXHIBITION TO SOUTH BANK FOR A SECOND SHOWING
Last year we commi55ioned our first immersive exhibition on the theme ofTHE HUMAN AS PARTOF ECOLOGY.
The commlss5on was for an Immerslve exhIbJ￿0ft where each artlst would design a room In a labyrlnth which
¥uestswould navi8ate theirway through. Wehad mort than 120 appllcatlons and commlssloned 20 artlsts each
with theirown vision fora room in this Immerslve world. Our Creative Director Gabriella Sonabend oJrated thls

different messages about humanities relation5hip5 with the biosphere.
This èxhibition named TERIiA NEXUS was rejocated to The South Bank after Its first opening in Peckham. This
show got a second runnlng from April- lune 202L wlth payin8 8uests purthaslng tlckets for tlmes entry to the

SEThING UP A FILM STUDIO IN WEMBLEY
We obtained è meanwhile spate agreement for an 18.LKK)ft2 retail warehouse in Wembley that we converted
into a film and produttion studio. This studio is perfertly located for film produttion, with easy access to the
prop and equipment warehouse5 in Park Royal and with 72 car parking spaces in a private car park which can be
used for pr¢xluction unit bases. We stripped out the previws retail faolities and refurbished the space to best
5Lllt the production ol film and video. At the year end the demand for the Studio space was picking up pace and
we secured our first major long-term bookin& which covered the cost of the fIt￿￿t and enabled us to grow our
reseNes.
STATEMENT ON FINANCIAL POSITION

Durin8thls period the charity has recefved ftnanclal support from a private family fund. Incommswho converted
their loan made for the fit-out of the stydios on SoLth Bank into a donation. We also receSved some addltlonal

Hudson Is a shareholder. A substantlal proportlon of fvnds used to carryout ourcharitable attivities were raised
by rentln8 Studlos lo artists with smaller proportions of revenue comin8 frorn ticket sales to our immersive

MANAGING THE RISKS FACING THE CHARITY
THE INSECURITY OF MEANWHILE SPACE
Rlsk: Proposition continues to make use of buildings which othenvise would be left empty in orderto
support emerglng artists. engage the general public on humanities ￿lationShiP with the living world
and run a program of public ￿ents. These opportunlties are likely to grow in number over the comlng
years and we Intend to contlnue maklng charltable use of these spaces. There Is, however, rlsk that
comes In the lack of securlty of tenure and If several propertles recelved notlce In qulck succe5slon we
could find ourselves pushed to scale-back our current activf(ie5.
Management: We are prospecting for space where we have security of tenure and exploring mode
which can enable u5 to afford central London rents whlle contlnulng to provide a free program of
publlc events. engage the general publlc on humaniws relatlonshlp wlth the workl nd contlnue
to provlde studlo space at low rates.
CONOMIC HARDSHIPS FORQNG ARTlSfs TO LEAVE sfuDIOS

Rlsk.. Many artlsts have been leaylng London due to risin8 rents and c05t of livlng that mokes it dlfficult for them
to produce work. Thi5 could be ex35perated by Brexlt If work becomes even less available.
Mana8ement.. We prfce our 5tudi05 based on maxlmum affordzbillty for 8ra5sroots art15ts whll¢ 5tlll managln
