Financial report
The accounts for the year to 5th April, 2025 show £9081 excess of receipts over payments.
The monthly income lost from one empty room per month amounts to between £783 and £823
Lost income fron] empty rooms h&s cost the Charitv a total of £11,522 during the year. The Ioss of
income from empty rooms seriously affects the T￿￿tee5, ability to improve the financial resources of the
Charity and therefore impacts on the Charity s long-terni financial resilience.

Trustees, report eontinued
Havelock Str¢et had to have major and costly improvements. Much of the propety w&$ re￿rbIShtd.
W]ilst the property was empty the charity was not in receipt of Housing Benefit. Green Pastures kindly
agreed a I&￿e payment suspension during this period for both properties foT August and S¢ptember.
Subsequently. a debt of £5151 was accrued which is being paid off on a monthly basis and due to fEnish in
October 2025. At the end of the financial year the debt owed w&8 £2981.
Much of this cosL as well as helping towards the cost of the wages of the Housing Support oificers. has
been met by grants and donations totalling £8414.
The names of the Trustslorganisations who have kindly supported Hope Housing with Grants during the
year are:.
Grantscape
BramaIl Foundation
Lions Bridlington
Bridlington Charity Trustees
Leeds Building Society
In addition to this, Churches in the Town of Bridlington. indiN'iduaI donations and regular giving by
Direct Debit payments from individuals. amounts to £17803. Without this flnancial support the Charity
could not continue. At th¢ AGM in October 2024 the diifjcult financial situation was discussed. As a
Tesult the Charity was blessed with a number of four figure donations and an increase in the number of
people giving donations on a monthly basis. Praise God.
The Trustees have also arranged fvnd raising events in the year and this h&s raised a further £3966. Other
llew initiativ¢s are planned for fund raising throughout the forthcoming year.
There is much optimism for the success and future of the Charity. Th¢ Tnlstees do realise that this will
continue be a challenge and can only be achieved by the continued support of Grants, financial giving,
volunteers and pTayer.
