## Chairman's Report

Firstly, I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their incredible support over the past year.

It's been another busy and successful year for Cylch. I stepped into the role of Chairman in June, and we ended the academic year on a high with a fantastic sports day. The children amazed us all with their re-creation of the Olympic opening ceremony before taking part in their races. We also said a fond farewell to Ralph and Ellis as they moved on to school - we wish them both the very best.

In July, we held our annual Duck Race. The sun was shining, the cakes were flying off the table, and thanks to everyone getting in the water to release/catch ducks! It was a brilliant day that raised much-needed funds for Cylch.

September marked the start of a new term. Although the future of the building remains uncertain since the school's closure, the staff and children have made the most of their time there, creating a warm and lively environment. Both our staff and Responsible Individuals completed the essential Group C Safeguarding training for Childcare Practitioners. The Halloween Disco was a great success - a huge thank you to the committee for your hard work in making it happen. The children loved dressing up, dancing, singing, crafting, and playing - creating lovely memories.

In November, we supported our local farmers by joining in with #BackBritishFarming and donning our wellies - which came in handy when the snow arrived! Poor Heather was, I’m told, a favourite snowball target! We embraced the festive spirit in December with Christmas Jumper Day and a lovely afternoon of singing, crafting, and of course, a magical visit from Sion Corn (or should I say.. Grandad!).

January brought a messy play session, made possible thanks to a successful grant application. We also took part in a quiz night at The Severn, with all proceeds going to Cylch - thank you to everyone who attended and contributed.

In March, the children celebrated St David's Day with pride and enthusiasm. Then in April, we held an Easter Egg Hunt. Although turnout was lower than expected, those who came had a brilliant time, thanks again for all of the help organising and support on the day,

We were delighted with the success of our cake sale at Dolau's Big Breakfast, which raised valuable funds for the setting - thank you Ellyn and Sarah. As the summer term rolled in, we've enjoyed welcoming new children and are thrilled to see our numbers growing again.

We were especially excited to learn that we've been nominated in the Small Cylch category for the 2025 Mudiad Meithin Awards - a huge honour

and a testament to the dedication of our staff and volunteers. This term, we've enjoyed the sunshine with outdoor activities and even a Teddy Bear Picnic, a very enjoyable afternoon of eating sports and even a bear hunt. We've unfortunately had to introduce a small price increase, but we continue to strive to provide the very best care and experiences for our children.

Thank you again to everyone - staff, committee members, families, and the wider community - for your continued support. Diolch yn fawr!
