Achievements and erformance
During the year ended 31"August 2023. Joy has embarked on the Lifetime Stories Projett.
Lifetime Stories is a programme designed to connect younger people to the older generation through
storytellin& active listenin8 and intergenerational activities. Beginning with a true storytelling workshop and
moving through artive listening and reminiscing techniques, story-mappin& interview design,. the projett
seeks to develop the employability and life skills of younger people. This is achieved through a deepening of
young people's connection to their own family hlstories.
Each child will participate in two days (4hours) of storytelling workshops.
Every student then becomes a 'story explorerf setting out on a 'stOry-discovering' voyage through thelr
chosen person's life through sharing photos, videos, meaningful objects and songs. This creates a closer
connection to someone from an older generation, improvin8 communication and listening skills.
The final intergenerational session brlngs together their Chosen Person and an object representing a story
they discovered, back to the school or centre. Togetherthey will create a piece of art with a written story
attached.
