Achievements and Performance Despite 2021 and 2022 belng without lockdowns following the pandemic, It has seen challenges wlth the public still being wary of Covld19 but we have continued to grow and continue to offer more support than ever to our members and their families. We still continue to offer support to anyone with any cancer diagnosis and this has enabled us to help and support all genders and race. We continue to be recognised by the local Cancer Unit at our local hospital as a much needed support network for cancer sufferers both through and after treatment and are recommended by them to anyone with a diagnosis and are continuing to promote our services by attending the hospital regularly to raise awareness. Our ability to offer first hand knowledge, advice and friendship through these unprecedented times to cancer sufferers has been of great benefit to our members and their familieslfriends within the community. Our drop in centre is now being utilised as our office and for members to visit and has been open to the public from April 2021. The difference that the charity has made to our beneficiaries is that they continue to have both a private platform and are able to discuss their treatment and fears and this also helps with their general mental health and wellbeing. Wider benefits are also seen by the support that we can offer to those affected by cancer of their loved ones and relatives. The Charity has been holding regular face to face meetings with group members to provide advice, friendship and support through and after a diagnosis. We hold awareness events and offer awareness presentations within companies to promote self awareness, self examination and the early detection of cancer. We continue to assist members with taking them to and from hospital and GP appointments and providing transport to and from meetings for members who do not have transporL We also continue to provide a care pack for those undergoing treatment which is provided free of charge. We also provide telephone support, home visits and 2417 support via our private forum. We are proud to say that during 2022 we were able to provide a retreat for our members at our caravan purchased early in 2022. This has been a welcome addition to our services and provides a safe haven for our members to get away with their families during and after treatment. We continue to hold face to face meetings at our drop in centre and strive to support both male and females with any cancer ensuring that they do not feel alone and have like minded people to talk to and discuss their fears and anxieties.
