Review of the activities and achievements
We have had a successful year providing enrichment to both pre- school children and school age children after school hours.
Fees to attend have not altered this year
£7.00 playgroup plus,
£3.50 Lunch club
£4.50/£7.50 after school club.
Low income families can apply for Childcare and play grant to reduce their fees. We have a number of children accessing this.
We are registered for the ‘Childcare offer’ which entitles working parents to 30 hours free child care. We have a number of children accessing this.
We had approximately on 16 on roll attending playgroup, and 16 attending afterschool club.
We have provided a range of activities both using indoor and outdoor environments. The children have accessed stimulating resources in order to enhance their social development whilst also improving health outcomes; with plenty of opportunities for outdoor play.
Environmental initiatives; we are moving towards paperless communications to reduce our carbon footprint. We share what we are doing with parents through our social media platform; facebook.
Financial Review
Total income for the year was £29,201 with our outgoings being £31,073
Our income this year came from attendance fees and our outgoings mainly on staff wages. We did access a grant of £1000
The school that we operate in waivered the rent fees for this year, so this left us with a deficit of £1872 for this year. Reserve from previous year was used to bridge the gap between the spending and receiving and also to cover unplanned costs such as emergency repairs and other expenditure.
Structure, Governance and Management
The Committee and the trustees, along with the wrap around manager, are responsible for the management and control of the Woody wrap Around Charity and meet termly. All trustees give their time freely and no remuneration or expenses were paid in the year. No member received any benefit of any form.

Independent Examiner’s report to the Trustees or Woody Wrap Around.
I report on the account for the year ending March 2022, as noted in the trustee report.
The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43 (2) of the Charities Act 1993 and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to;
-
Examine the accounts ( under section 43 of the act)
-
State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given to the Charity Commission. An examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘ true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiners statement
In the course of my examination , no matter has come to my attention;
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in , any material respect, the requirements;
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the Act, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act; have not been met; or
-
to which , in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
