In selecting individuals for appointment the charity trustees are to take into consideration the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the charity. _The Trustees that served during the year under review_ : Volney Morgan Dionne Forrest Tanya McNeish Stephanie Quirk In November 2021 Volney Morgan stepped down as trustee of Alive City Church UK. In November the possibility of appointing Stephanie Quirk as a trustee for the charity was discussed and later reviewed in early 2022. On 14th March 2022 Stephanie Quirk was officially appointed as a new trustee for Alive City Church UK. _2 of 4_ _Trustee Annual Report: April 2021 - March 2022_ ## **Key Personnel** Senior Pastor Volney Morgan Senior Pastor Ifedayo Morgan Head Of Finance Tanya McNeish Head Of Operations Stephanie Quirk The governance of the Church resides with the Trustees and Senior Pastors of Alive City Church UK, with support from head volunteers who led various teams within the organisation assisting with the progress of weekly operations. ## **Objectives and Activities** The Objectives of Alive City Church UK are: - To advance the Christian religion in the United Kingdom & elsewhere for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, relief of people who are in conditions of need, distressed, aged or sick and public celebrations of religious festivals - Producing & distributing literature on the Christian faith to enlighten others about the Christian religion. ## **Achievements and Performance** Alive City Church UK is committed to delivering various activities and services to their members and wider community. We aim to create a space where individuals can come together at least once or twice a week. We currently have approximately 24 volunteers who support and contribute significantly to the charity’s operations. Enabling us to complete our achievements and conduct various activities by sharing their skills, talent and time. ## _Some of our key teams are:_ - Operations Team - Men’s Ministry - Hearts & Crowns (Women’s Ministry) - Alive City Music - Alive City Kids - Alive City Outreach Team - Alive City Media & Production ## _Groceries on Us_ Our Groceries on us service provides free groceries to those in need in our local community. ## _Support: Sick, Grieved and Elderly_ For those who are unable to consistently attend weekly activities provided by Alive City Church UK i.e. because of sickness, lack of means to travel, lack of mobility or due to being elderly etc, we provide volunteers who make home visits to support these individual. In addition we also provide support to those who are grieved. _3 of 4_ _Trustee Annual Report: April 2021 - March 2022_ ## _Sunday Services_ In May 2021 Alive City Church UK were able to return to in person Sunday services as the country transitioned back to normality after the pandemic. Coming together once a week for their weekly worship service, which includes vibrant uplifting music and passionate speakers who share and enlighten on the Christian faith. ## _Alive Night Concert_ Alive City Church UK presented a musical gathering called Alive Night The Concert. Bringing together various inspirational musicians and artists from around London. ## _Whats God got to do with it - Two part Love series_ For the month of February Alive City Church UK hosted two panel discussions. Conversing about God’s love, friendships, family relationships and the road to marriage. ## _Alive Groups_ Alive Group is a mid week gathering where people can connect through God’s word, prayer and learn more about Christianity in an informal way. It is a space where people can discuss life issues and gain basic support. Alive Group is conducted online and is also an avenue where people can socialise and get to know each other and ask questions that you may not be able to during a Sunday worship service. Through these sessions we aim to educate, grow together, build, strengthen and maintain community. ## _Alive City Kids_ Once a week we provide a space for children to come together socialise, play, get creative, have fun and learn about God. With the addition of an outing that takes place during the summer holidays. ## _Ordination_ In November 2021 Alive City Church UK hosted the official ordination service of Pastor Volney & Ifedayo (Angel) Morgan. The ordination was officiated by Bishop John Francis of Ruach City Church. ## _Alive City Stories_ Alive City Church UK launched Alive City Stories in February 2022, an interactive platform provided in an interview style for people to share their stories and journey to encourage and spark hope in the lives of others. ## _Annual Retreats for lead Volunteers_ In November 2021 Alive City Church UK hosted their first Retreat for their lead Volunteers and the charity’s trustees. This retreat is a place where Volunteers can refresh after many months of handwork, receive training and understand the goals of the charity for the upcoming year. It is also a time for the trustees and senior leadership of the church to review the performance and activity of the charity, discuss concerns or any significant changes and review plans for the new year ## _PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS_ The Charity continues to explore ways of furthering its charitable objectives in an effective manner by ensuring there is an awareness of its services, and they are proactively seeking opportunities to be more involved in the community. The Charity seeks to provide services and activities that meet the needs of people in the community. These activities provide a positive change in the moral and spiritual climate of the local borough which reflects the charity’s Christian ethos and beliefs. Alive City Church UK also desires to transition midweek activities from online to in-person. _4 of 4_ _Trustee Annual Report: April 2021 - March 2022_ ## **Financial Review** Within this Financial Year Alive City Church UK saw a large increase in our income which was a result of members coming back to in person services and job prospectives opening back up after the Covid-19 pandemic. We also saw an increase in expenditure within the financial year due to a number of factors including more support offered to the local communities and intentionally investing to provide members with a better quality service such as music and media equipment.
