Bethel Baptfst Church. Bedwas Airn and Purposes To proclaim the Christian gospel to the local area, and to support the wider church. Oblecilves and Artlvltles Achievements and Perforniance Worshi and Pra er services are held on Sunday mornings, when the fellowship meet on the premises. Sorne midweek meetings are held on line, others are in person. The church remises are used on most weekdays by different groups in the church- Baban Bethel, for parents & toddlers, Warrn Place, and cleaning and maintenance teams. Warm Place was originally set up when home heating costs escalated sharply and was to assist those unable to properly heat their individual homes- it has since emerged into a social group who continue to meet during the summer when heating considerdtions are not excessive. Pastoral care is provided on an indiwdyal basis. and is supported by the trustees, weekly prayer meeting. Mission and evan elism Currently, ten church or Christian organisations, working in the UK or worldwide, are supported by reIn8 a proportion of our annual income. The list is reviewed every three years. In addition. special collections are made to provide relief when natural disasters occur. Other local churches have formed close working relationships to the extent that children & youth aclivitie5 are shad on a regular basis. Financial revlew sin the pandemic, expenditure has continuedto exceed income, and so reserves continue to decline. Grant assistance has been sourced to finance additional resources. Reserves pollcy The church will establish a comprehensive reserNEs policy when the income shortfall h35 been reversed. Volunteers As with the financial position, all church members commit to assist as much as age and health permit. Joint activities with other local churche5 have facilitated a broader outreach. Structure, governance and management The chLsr¢h is an unincorporated association. GoNErnarte is by a board of trustees appoint by the church membership in general meeting.
