ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
The CIO currently operates under the broader operation of the Directorate of RAF Sports. The Committee
Structure is constructed of full registered members.

RAF Sports Parachute A550Ciation 2019, ratified for continued use during operating year at
MAIN ACTIVITIES
The RAF Sports Parachute Association IRAFSPAI delivers a comprehensive annual programme designed to
promote partlClP3tion, skill development, and competitive excellence. Core events Include the Inter-services
Championships at the Army Parachute Association and the UK National Championships, organised by British
Skydlving IBS). These Formatlon Skydiving IFS) competitions feature multiple levels Rookie for development
teams and A and AA for advanced lumpers ensurlng opportunitles for progression across all sklll sets.
To achieve competition standards, RAFSPA teams participate in the UK Skydiving League IUKSLI at venues
nationwide, culminating in recognition for the highest average scores at the BS Annual General Meeting.
eyond FS, RAFSPA has expanded into additional di5cipline5 such as Accuracy and Freefly, achieving
representation at national level. Notably, RAFSPA athletes have been selected by BS to represent Great Britain
in the prestigious European Skydiving League, and for the first time, an RAFSPA member competed
internationally in Canopy Piloting.
RAFSPA also engages in a full Season of fixtures against top-tier civilian teams in the UKSL. These competitions
provide invaluable preparation for Inter-Service5 events while strengthening community relations and
enhancing the RAF'S profile at UK drop zones. RAF branding and sports attire ensure visibility and reinforce the
RAF Identity.
In addition to competitions, RAFSPA hosts annual wind tunnel camps, open to all RAF skydiving enthusiast5.
These camps include a "scrambles" event-teams drawn at random fostering inclusivity and identifying future
development talent. Of three planned camps, two have already been successfully delivered.
RAFSPA further advanced its Home for Sport (Hfs) initiative through three proof-of-concept events at RAF
Weston-on-the-Green. Conducted in partnership with Oxford Gliding Club, these events demonstrated the
ability to maintain a safe operating environment for both organisations. They enabled member training and
facilitated fundraising tandem jumps for the RAFA charity, establishing a blueprint for expanded activity In
2026.
Finally, while the Association continues to plan for an annual overseas training camp, limited organisational
capacity nece551tated postponement until 2026 to prioritise the 5ucce55ful rollout of the HE concept.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
The trustees have been mindful of the guidance issued by the Charities on public benefit. Willing and
enthusiastic RAFSPA members volunteer to undertake roles within the association. The contribution to these
roles Is highly valued and much appreciated and Is recognised as a duty.

POLICY ON GRANT MAKING
The Association does not currently award grants but Is exploring this option in partnership with its primary
supporter, the RAF Central Fund. At present, a reimbursement model Is in place,. the proposed change aims to
simplify processes and make support for new member engagement and competition participation more
acce55ible.
POLICY ON SOCIAL INVESTMENT
Resources are directed toward delivering core charitable objectives, including member training, competition
participation, and progression initiatives. The Association will continually review opportunitie5 for social
investment in line with its strategic priorities and governance framework.
VOLUNTEERS
It is acknowledged that 5POrt in the RAF 15 delivered through the aegi5 of the Sports A550ciations and the
willing, enthusiastic volunteers who undertake roles on the Executive Committees and in the association5. The
delivery of RAF competition would not be possible without officials, all of whom are volunteers. The contribution
in these roles Is highly valued and much appreciated and recognised as a duty activity In Service policy
documents. Volunteers form a huge part of RAFSPA, and the committee Is operated purely by a small group of
dedicated volunteers. If not for these people, the Assoclatlon would not function.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
RAFSPA delivered a highly successfLJI season, competing at the Amied Forces Parachute Championships
(Interservicesl, the British Skydiving Nationals, the European Cup, and the World Cup, showcasing the
Association's commitment to excellence and growth.
International Representation
Sqn Ldr Liam Power represented Team GB at the prestigious Canopy Piloting Championship,
reinforcing RAFSPA'S presence on the global stage.
Interservice and National results:
One RAFSPA service member participated In the AFPC, demonstrating commitment and competitive
spirit, although they did not secLJre a podium position.
Another member competed at the Wing Suit Nationals, showcasing determination and skill, despite
not achieving a podium finish.
Progresslon and Training:
To enhance safety and performance, RAFSPA delivered a 5trurtured progression programme..
Progression Events at Skydlve Langar and APA Netheravon focused on canopy safety and skill development..
Skydive Langar 11-5 May).. 12 members attended for subsidised jumps for training and Formation
Skydiving competition opportunities.
APA Netheravon124-25 May).. 5 members attended, aligned with an organised coaching event.
Skydive Langar 130 Aug-7 Sepl.. 8 members attended, coinciding with "Langar Boogie 2- for
advanced training and competition opportunities.
Flight-l Coaching.. External experts provided advanced canopy flight training, significantly improving safety and
performance.
Four members directly benefited, and Injuries from poor landings were virtually eliminated.

Impact on Morale and Wellbein9
Participatlon competitions has strengthened membe￿, mental resllience, morale, and retention skills that
translate effectively to operational environments.
Progression and Growth Initiatives
Home for Sport (Hfs) Concept.. RAFSPA launched Hfs weekends at RAF Weston-on-the-Green,
enabling charitable fundraising through tandem jumps for RAFA. Plans are in place to merge with
the RAF Central Fund in 2026 for enhanced fundraising capability.
Instructor Development.. One member qualified as an Accelerated Freefall (AFFI Instructor, joining
the instructor cadre to support grassroots training.
Wing Suit Development.. Four members attended Wing Suit Tunnel Training in Stockholm,
advancing RAFSPA'S ambition to establish a competitive team in this discipline.
Wind Tunnel Rumble.. Three separate vertical wind tunnel training sessions and competitions
involving all levels of Membe￿ were held for member at IFLY Basingstoke.
NEW MEMBER ENGAGEMENT
One new member achieved a British Skydiving A Licence with RAFSPA support.
Hfs weekends attracted new RAF skydivers and reinforced retention through targeted engagement
with JSAT courses, ensuring grassroots parachutists remain active under the sporting banner.
PERFORMANCE OF FUNDRAISING ACTEVITIES AGAINST OBJECTIVES SET
RAFSPA hosted a tandem jump weekend at RAF Weston-on-the-Green In support of RAFA. While this event did
not directly generate funds for the Association, it strengthened relationships with charitable partners and laid
the groundwork for future fundraising initiative5 planned for 2026 following the anticipated merger with the RAF
Central Fund
RELATIONSHIP WITH ANY RELATED PARTIES
RAFSPA continue to take the lead on running the Bi-Annual Non-combat Parachute Working Group and
introduction of the MAA RA1700 series. This ensures a common safety position Is held pan defence for sports
parachuting.
SERIOUS INCIDENT REPORTING
No serious incidents occurred.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charity remalns In a strong flnancial posltion at the close of the 2025 calendar year. The RAF Central
Funding IRAFCFI grant for the year has continued to support our investment in enabling members to
participate in sport and develop physical and mental resilience. We have Secured a Similar grant from RAFCF for
2026, maintain healthy private funds, and have actively planned to achieve our objectives for the year.
RESERVES POLICY
Reserves are maintained to supplement funding provided by the RAF Central Fund IRAFCFI and to ensure the
charity can finance charitable activities that fall outside the scope of grant policy. They also provide a financial
safeguard, enabling the charity to continue operating for a period should RAFCF funding cease, while alternative
sources of Income are Identified.

All reserves and fixed asset5 totalling £79,895.35 were transferred to Central Fund at the date of the merger.

GOING CONCERN
There are no uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern.
As disclosed e3dier within this report, the Trustees of the Association have determined that it Is in the best
interests of the charity to merge wlth the Royal Air Force Central Fund. As of the date of transfer the
Association will no longer exist as a standalone entity but will operate and dellver its activity wlthin the
charitable operating framework of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.
INVESTMENT POLICY AND OBJECTEVES
We invest in our people by making the sport of Skydiving more accessible for Servi￿ members, giving them a
way to develop themselves and improve mental and physical fitness through sport.
PRINCIPAL SOURCES OF FUNDS
Primary source5 of funds are Central Fund grants.
PRENCEPAL RESKS FACING THE CHARITY
There are no expected financial risks currently facing the charity.

Each new charity trustee, on or before his or her first appointment, will receive.. lal a copy of the constitution
and any amendment5 made to it; and Ibl a copy of the CIO'S latest tru5tee5' annual report and statement of
accounts. In addition, they will liaise with RAF Sport5 Federation in order to receive specialist guidance in the
condurt of a ch3rity trustee.
Trustees. Responsibilities
The Charities Act 2011 requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give
true and fair view of the state of affairs of the CIO and of the surplus of the CIO for that period. In preparing
those financial statements the Trustees are required to:
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistentlyi
make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent. and
prepare financial statement5 on the going concern basis unle55 It is inappropriate to presume that
the CIO will continue in existence.
The trustees are responsible for keeplng proper accounting records, whlch disclose wlth reasonable accuracy at
any time the financial position of the trust. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the CIO and
hence for taking reasonable step5 for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Basis of preparation
The financial statements of the charity, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in
accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 'Accounting and Reporting by Charibes.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective l January 20191,,
Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
I￿land, and the Charlties Act 2011. The financlal statements have been p￿pared under the historlcal cost
convention.
As noted under the Reserves and Going Concern sections of the Trustees Report and in Note 14, the CIO has
merged with the RAF Central Fund, with an effective date of 1st January 2026. This will mean that the CIO'S
operations will cease with Royal Air Force Sport5 Parachute A550Clation CIO, but will continue to operate and
deliver its activity within the charitable operating framework of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.
The CIO constitutes a publSc beneflt entity as defined by FRS 102.
The Tru5tee5 confirm, in accordance with the Charitable Incorporated Organi5ations (Generall Regulation5
2012, that at the year end the CIO did not have any outstanding guarantee5 to third partie5 nor any debts
secured on assets of the CIO.

No changes to accounting estimates have occurred in the reporting period

No material prior year errors have been identified In the reporting period.
I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Income
Recognition of Income
These are Included in the Statement of Financial Activities ISOFAI when..

it is more likely than not that the tru5tee5 will receive the re50urces,' and
the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliabillty.
Offsettlng
There has been no offsetting of assets and liabilities, or income and expenses, unless required or permitted by
the FRS 102 SORP or FRS 102.
Grants and Donations
Grants and donations are only Included in the SOFA when the general income recognition criteria are met15. 10
to 5. 12 FRS 102 SORPI.
Contractual Income and Performance Related Grants
This is only Included in the SOFA once the CIO has provided the related goods or servlces or met the
performance related conditions.
Gifts in Kind
Gifts in kind for use by the CIO are included in the SOFA as Income from donations when receivable.
Volunteer Help
The value of any voluntary help received 15 not included in the accounts but is described in the Trustees, annual
report.
Income from interesL royalties and dividends
This is included In the accounts when receipt Is probable and the amount receivable can be measured reliably.
Investment Gains and Losses
This included any galn or loss on the sale of investments and any galn or loss resulting from revaluing
investments to market value at the end of the year.

Insurance claims
Insurance claims a￿ only included In the SOFA when the general Income recognition crSterla are met 15.10 to

Income from membership subscriptions
Membership subscriptions which gives a member the rlght to buy servlces or other benefits a￿ recognised as
income earned from the provision of goods and services as income from charitable activities.
Debtors
Debtors (including trade debtors and loans receivable) are measured on initial recognition at settlement
amount after any trade discounts or amount advanced by the CIO. Subsequently, they are measured at the
cash or other conslderation expected to be received.
Liability Recognition
Liabilities are recognised where it 15 more likely than not that there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the CIO to pay out resources and the amount of the obligation can be measured with reasonable
certainty.
Grants with Performance Conditions
Where the CLO gives a grant with conditions for its payment being a specific level of Service or output to be
provided, such grants are only recognised in the SOFA once the recipient of the grant ha5 provided the
specified service or output.
Grants Payable without Performance Conditions
Where there are no conditions attaching to the grant that enables the donor CIO to realistically avoid the
commitment, a liability for the full funding obligation must be recognised.
Deferred income
No material item of deferred income has been included in the accounts.
Provisions for liabilities
A liability 15 measured on recognition at its historical cost and then subsequently measured at the best estimate
of the amount required to Settle the obligation at the reporting date
Fixed Assets
These are capitalised if they can be used for more than one year, and cost at least £1,000. They are valued at
cost or, if gifted, at the value to the CIO on receipt.
Depreciation Expense
Depreciation on tangible fixed assets Is calculated at a rate to write off their cost on a straight line basis over
10 years from the month they are purchased.

10. TRANSACTIONS WITH TRUSTEES AND OTHER RELATED PARTIES
In 2025, two trustees were reimbursed a total of £483 for jump fees. All reimbursements were made on the
same terms as other non-trustee members. No other payments were made to trustees or any persons
connected with them during this financial period. No material transaction took place between the organisation

11. RISK ASSESSMENT
The trustees actively review the major risks which the CIO faces on a regular basis and believe that
maintaining the free reserves stated, combined with the annual review of the controls over key financial
systems carried out on an annual basls will provide sufficient resources in the event of adverse conditions. The
trustees have also examined other operational and business risks which they face and confirm that they have
established 5yStem5 to mitigate the significant risks.

12. RESERVES POLICY
The trustees have consldered the level of reserves they wish to retaln, appropriate to the CIO'S needs. Thls Is
based on the CIO'S size and the level of flnancial commltments held. The trustees aim to ensure the CIO will be
able to continue to fulfil its charitable objectives even if there is a temporary shortrall in income or unexpected
expenditure. The tru5tee5 will endeavour not to Set aside fund5 unnecessarily.
13. PUBLIC BENEFIT
The CIO acknowledges its reqU1￿ment to demonstrate clearly that It must have charitable purposes or 'aims'
that are for the public benefit. Details of how the CIO has achieved this are provided in the Trustees report.
The tru5tee5 confirm that they have paid due regard to the CIO Commission guidance on public benefit before
deciding what activities the CIO should undertake.
14. TRANSFER OF ASSETS ON MERGER
RAF Sports Parachute Association merged with RAF Central Fund (charity number 11525601 at midnight
between 31st December 2025 and 1st January 2026. On that date the assets and liabilities of RAF Sports
Parachute A550ciation were transferred to the RAF Central Fund and its reserves were treated as a donation to
the RAF Central Fund. The tran5artion5 Qf RAF Sports Parachute A550ciation Since that date have been included
in the Statement of Financial Artivities of the RAF Central Fund.

I report in respect of my examination of the CIO'S accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and
in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Oirections given by the Charity Commis510n
under section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examiner's ststement
I have completed my examination. I confinn that no material matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respert..
the accounting records were not kept In accordance with section 130 of the Charities Att,. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records,. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable reouirements concerning the form and content of
ccounts set out in the Charitie5 {Account5 and Reports) Regulatlons 2008 other than any
requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which 15 not a matter considered as part of
an independent examination.
I draw attention to note 14 in the financial statement5. As stated in note 14, the Trustees confirm that the
Association has merged with RAF Central Fund. All assets and liabilities have now been transferred. Therefore
the charity is not a going concern. I have no other concerns and have come across no other matters In
connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper
understandlng of the accounts to be reached.
