Regi8tered wlth Charlty Commission since 03 April 2019 under a trust deed and
registered charity No: 1182780.Derai Thana Development Organisation UK is a
Charity governed by its eonstltutlon and its objectives are:
lalTo provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of
social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals
who have need of such facilities by reason of thelr youth, age infirmity or
disability. financial hardship or social circumstances with the objeetive of
improving their conditions of life.
Ibl To advance edueation for the public benefit by providing support and
activities which develop an individual, s capabilities. competences. ski118 and
understanding.
And which contrlbute of understanding of the culture and
traditions of the Bangladeshi COTnmunity.
Icl To work for the eradieatlon of poverty for the public by the provision of
a slgn posting service and such other charitable support necessary to relieve
the needs of people who are economically disadvantaged.

The trustees naTned on page I have served throughout the year. Appointment of
trustees is governed by the Trust Deed of the Charity. The board of trustees
are authorised to appoint new trustees to fill vacancies arriving through
resignation or death of an existing trustee.

The trustees review the situation on a regular basis and take immediate

The trustees have exam&ned the major strategic, busine58 and operational risks
which the charity faces and confirrn that Systems have been established to
enable regular reports to be produced so that the necessary steps can be taken
to lessen these risks.

Flnancial inf ormatlon and future development8
The
donations
are
becoming dif f icult because
of the
persisting
competition created by other sitnilar charities .
The trust, whilst
continuing to struggle and work very hard in the United Kingdom
covering all boroughs in the country to raise Tnoney. We have been
requesting our community for Tnaking generous donations for facilitating
all our activities mentioned above.
We do still believe in equal
opportunity and we theref ore,
Support and help everybody without
considering creed, colour or religion.
The needs and problems of our community are different from the wider
community, whilst day by day our work and demand8 are increasingi Buch
a8 attending to family matters,
visiting to sick and elderly and
bereaved f arnilies.
Tru8teas' reBponslbllltles in relation to the f &nanclal statement8
e Charities Act requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements
for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of
affair8 of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial
statements the ComTnittee Mettlbers are required to:
select suitable accounting policies, apply them consistently and
state them in the financial Statements,"
state whether applicable accounting standards have been f ollowed,
subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the
f inancial statements,. and
indicate where the financial statements are prepared other than on
the basis that the Trust is a going concern.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper books of accounts with
respect to the trust's transactions and its assets and liabilities for
maintaining satisfactory system of internal control over the trust,
books of accounts and transactions.
The ComTnittee Menthers are also
responsible for safeguarding of asset8 of the Trust and hence for Laking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.

The Report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 MARCH
2023, are set out on pages 6 to 8 which I￿ve been prepared on the basis
of historic cost.

The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required
for thi8 year (under section 144121 of the charities Act 20111 and that
an independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to:
* examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 2011 Act,.
follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the
charity eolnmission under section 145151blof the 2011 Act,.
* state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basi8 of Inde endent examlner'B Statement
Our exarnination was carried out in accordance with General Directions
given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations
frorn the trustees concerning any such rnatters. The procedures undertaken
do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a
°true and fair view" and the report is limited to those Tnatters set out
in the statement below.

National Lott¢ry Community Fund
An amount of £9, 000 were donated to miniTnise the risks of pandemic
and Troving forward by National Lottery ComTnunity Fund. This amount
is due to refund to thern although it was spent on few education
projects. The trustees are aware of that and are gathering the
money to return to them in due course. The refund of this fund
started and there is a paynent plan agreed with the National
Lottery.
