Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achlevements of the charity during the year We are still working hard lo achieve our vision to ensure all dogs find a loving home and receive the care and respect they deserve. We have continued to try to find homes for these dogs in line with all the new rules and regulations brought in by DEFrA but il has become harder and harder to find potential adopters. We act as their champions. Dogs are at the heart of our charity. and we are determined to find homes and families for every unloved or abused dog that we come into contact with. We as a charity, have a duty to provide food, awmmodation and medical care when needed. We try to educate future adopters. We explain about the responsibilities they will undertake when they adopt a dog from us. We provide support, advice and encouragement lo new adopters, building friendships along the way. We speak for the voiceless. We are against all cruelty to animals especially dogs. sin Covid our job has become more strained and difficult due to the continued tightening of DEFRA rules, these changes have limited how many dogs we can bring in the UK. This includes the increased number of Veterinary Testing requirements. This has had a tremendous effect of the number of dogs we could bring in but we have slill managed lo rehome 16 dogs this year. The charity continues to fundraise wher8v8r possible but with fewer volunteers than in previous years which in tum has reduced the number of events the charity can attend. TAR March 2012
