We act as their ch8mpions. Dogs are at the heart of our charity, and we are detemiined to find homes and families for every unloved or abused dog Ih8t we come into contact wilh. We as a charfty, have a duty to provide fo(Kl, accommodation and medical care when needed. We try to educate ftjture adopters. We explaln about th& resr*Jnsibllilies they will undertake when they adopt a dog from us. We provide support, advice and encouragemenl lo new adopters, bullthng ffiend$hlps along Ihe way. Since Covid ourjob has become more stralned and dtfficuSt due to the contlnued tlghtenlng of DEFRA rules, these changes have limited how many dogs we can bring in Ihe UK. Thls Includes the inueased number of Ve18rinary Tesllng requirements. This has had a tremendous effect of the number of dogs we could bring in this year, but the costs have come In for prfor years causing a further drain on our reserves. Hry•Ver, the tharity has contlnued to fiJndral88 wherever posslble. TAR Marth 2012
