## **Achievements and Performance**

||SORP reference||
|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|The team has had a very positive year,
whilst still being hampered by Covid 19 in
Q1 and Q2 of the year.
The team officially went live for deployment
on 1stNovember 2021 with the first
operational deployment to assist Cumbria
Police occurring on the 14thDecember
2021.
Following this deployment, and with the
support of grant funding and fundraising,
the team has gone from strength to
strength, increasing its numbers twofold,
and provisioning additional equipment.
Additionally due to the lack of support from
parent organisation SLSGB, a decision was
made to become a wholly independent
charity which was completed by the
purchasing of our own insurance package
to enable the team to operate under our
own cover where needed.
It has been noted that the lack of adverse
weather has led to the group focussing a
larger portion of their efforts on training for
searches of missing persons over a flood
response, however the team continues to
be operational at a Defra Type D team
standard, with the upgrade to Type C
almost complete.|

## **Financial Review**

|Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|The charity is in a positive financial state.
The last 12 months has been hard to
balance with Covid19 continuing to impact
on funding. |---|---|---|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|Reserves are held to cover 6 months
advance expected expenditure of fixed
costs on a rolling monthly basis.|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|At time of publishing, 5138|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22|NA|
|Details of fund materially in
deficit|Para 1.24|None|

Removal of many funding bodies that now make us ineligible to receive funding due to conducting an activity that “should be / is A Para funded by central government” description 1.46 of the The cost-of-living crisis as well as rising fuel costs are beginning to principal have an impact on our fundraising income from the public and risks facing corporate donators. Additionally, our operational costs have increased the charity due to having increased fuel usage and cost.

Our main concern going forward is the next phase of growth for the charity, where large sums of money will be required to purchase vehicles and property to facilitate continued expansion and service delivery.
