After a busy previous year where the Trust was able to provide practical assistance across a number of areas in the three schools, the current year focused largely on completing some of the smaller projects including urgently needed roof repairs in one of the schools resulting in the retrieval of space used as a play area for the smaller classes.

In addition the Trust was able to deliver 100kg of requested school supplies which were donated by the parents and pupils of a London school.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

Finally at the request of our local partner discussions began on the possibility of the Trust and possibly some London schools who have this expertise of collaborating with them to create an urgently needed centre to treat the escalating number of children with severe learning difficulties. The Trustees remain mindful of the guidance provided by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

The Trustees are mindful of the dangers of making grants to local albeit accredited respectable local partners in Lebanon which is experiencing a severe banking crisis and therefore taking great care to follow the Charity Commission guidelines on such transfers.

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- contribution made by volunteers.

Section D                      Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

After a relatively busy previous year the Trust focused on completing previous practical projects of direct benefit to the children. The delivery by one of the trustees of 100kgs of requested school supplies to Beirut just before the opening of the school academic year was much appreciated especially that these were donations from the pupils and parents of a London school. The discussions regarding the creation of a centre to treat severe learning difficulties among an escalating number of children in these schools and others by referral were ongoing with our partner. On the fund-raising side a number of events had to be cancelled which was disappointing due to the impact of the ongoing war in Lebanon and much attention being diverted towards the impact of the war in Gaza.
