EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Potters House Christian Fellowship (Bromley) has been a registered charity since January 2005 and the church has been open since August 2004. It is a pioneer work led by Pastor David Darkwah. The church membership as at 31[st] March 2020 stands at approximately 40 members. We have three services a week.
The church is part of the Potters House Fellowship Churches in the UK. We are also a member of the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service, ensuring we implement and maintain strict working guidelines when it comes to offering any sort of ministry to children. We are also a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
The church is still involved in the local community in Bromley with regular charity events that are free admission to the public. We have four” baby Churches” planted out of the Bromley Congregation. They are based in Crawley, Chatham, Canterbury and Ashford. Financially the church generates its income from donations from within the church and a small percentage comes in through the Gift Aid Tax Recovery and donations from our baby churches.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (CONTUNIED)
The Potters House Christian Fellowship has been open and functioning since August 2004. The church is a branch of the Potters House Christian Fellowship in the UK, with the headquarters based in Leyton E10. Services are now being held at the St Mark Church of England Primary School, Aylesbury road, Bromley. BR2 2OR.
The church congregation during the above period was around the 40 mark. The church members are from different diversities and backgrounds. The church is always open to all members of the community who are looking for a place to worship.
FINANCIAL REPORT
All Donations are recorded on our offering and banking sheet and banked the next day. Receipts are kept on all outgoing on a monthly basis. Majority of our income is spent on community and charity events, supporting our baby churches, pastoral care and paying the rent for the venue we use for worship. The end of the month a report is produced showing the income and expenditure, plus the balance carried over into the next month, A copy of this is sent to our mother church in Waltham Forest. The income and expenditure is reconciled against the bank statements by the church officials. Records of all cheques paid into the church account are still been recorded on the back of the counterfoil.
Declaration
The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above. Signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS
To the Trustees of
Potters House Christian Fellowship UK Bromley
For the Year Ended 31 March 2021
Charity number 1182550
Set out on Pages 5 to 7
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
Examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act;
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act); and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner’s statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements:
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act; or
-
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
