The Trustees have determined that the priorities for funding over the next year will be supporting individuals that further their exclusively charitable purposes. - ● Charitable causes to be supported include: - Funding for sporting activities that promote healthy recreation for young people. - Providing specialist equipment for disabled children. - Providing relief for those in need in the locality. - The trustees will consider supporting other organisations that further their purposes as and when funds allow. ## **Principles** - In awarding funding, the Trustees will apply the following principles: - Applications from young people in financial hardship will be encouraged. - All applications from previous recipients of funding or from previously unsuccessful applicants will be considered by the Trustees on their own merits. - Although the Trustees will have regard to the outcome of the previous grant, any new application will in no way receive preferential or adverse consideration. **TAR** March **2012** 3 ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** ## **Grant application process** - All applications for funding should be made in the first instance to David Bomber Pearce Legacy via letter or written to social media platform accounts and clearly marked for the attention of the Trustees. In addition, applications can be made by verbally or via the website, if later captured at the quarterly board bids meetings. You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. - information requirements before awarding funding. - Before awarding funding to an individual, the Trustees require that the application should: - Inform the Trustees of the purpose, and details of the application. Inspiration.** **2. Determination.** **3. Youth Development.** We support the advancement of amateur sport; this includes Sporting Clubs/ Teams and Sporting Individuals to follow their advancement in s[port through sporting stories. The aim is for the charity to provide sponsored grants for the advancement of sport and then follow the sponsored athletes via their individual/ team sporting stories. The preferred way based on SM Platform measures and analytics is the use of Instagram stories. This allows the sportsperson to share their story directly with us so we can enhance their profile to promote the sporting story. **TAR** March **2012** 7 ## **Section E Financial review** **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** The Charity keeps funding in reserve to enable it to be reactive to situations during the coming year that cannot be foreseen. We plan off ring fencing an amount that would last 3 yrs without any donations.
