- To provide grants and donations for such charitable purposes for the public benefit in South Wales as are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine 

- Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].

_The Objects of the charity:_ 

- To provide grants and donations for such charitable purposes for the public benefit in South Wales as are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine. 

- ● The Trustees of David Bomber Pearce Legacy seek to support those activities for purposes which help further the Objects. 

## **Priorities for support** 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

   - The number of projects which can be supported is, of necessity, limited to the amount of funds available for distribution in any year. The Trustees have determined that the priorities for funding over the next year will be supporting individuals that further their exclusively charitable purposes. 

   - ● Charitable causes to be supported include: 

      - Funding for sporting activities that promote healthy recreation for young people. 

      - Providing specialist equipment for disabled children. 

      - Providing relief for those in need in the locality. 

- The trustees will consider supporting other organisations that further their purposes as and when funds allow. 

## **Principles** 

- In awarding funding, the Trustees will apply the following principles: 

- Applications from young people in financial hardship will be encouraged. 

- All applications from previous recipients of funding or from previously unsuccessful applicants will be considered by the Trustees on their own merits. 

- Although the Trustees will have regard to the outcome of the previous grant, any new application will in no way receive preferential or adverse consideration.

- All applications for funding should be made in the first instance to David Bomber Pearce Legacy and clearly marked for the attention of the Trustees. Applications can be made by via the website.

- Before awarding funding to an individual, the Trustees require that the application should: 

- Inform the Trustees of the purpose of the application, details of the purpose, the way in which the funding will be used in the furtherance of charitable purposes. 

- Provide adequate information regarding the identity and financial status of the applicant, if applicable. 

- No funding will be considered retrospectively.

**Our Key Aims:**

We support the advancement of amateur sport, this includes Sporting Clubs/ Teams and Sporting Individuals to follow their advancement in s[port through sporting stories. 

The Charity also supports disability group projects in the local area and, once a year, supports a military benevolent charity, during the week of Remembrance.

There are other various other amateur sporting projects that have been granted sponsorship during the FY; they are displayed on social media and the website including future planned sponsorship and initiatives. The aim is for the charity to provide sponsorships and then follow the sponsored athletes via their sporting dtories.
