Objects: The Objects Of The Association Are:(1) The Relief Of Former Armed Service Personnel Resident In Heywood And The Surrounding Area, Who Are In Need By Reason Of Age, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Providing Them With Help And Assistance And By Offering Them A Signposting Service To Expert Support Providers For Their Benefit.(2) To Foster Good Citizenship For The Benefit Of The Public At Large, In Particular By Assisting Heywood Township In Establishing The Identity Of Those Individuals Whose Names Should Be Entered On Heywood Memorial Wall And Tracing Their Next Of Kin To Obtain Permission And Helping To Get Replacement Medals And Obtaining Military Family Histories.(3) The Promotion Of Military Efficiency Of The Armed Forces Of The Crown, Assisting Serving Members Of The Armed Forces Of The Crown, Priority To Be Given To Those With Connections To Heywood And The Surrounding Area, By The Preparation And Dispatch Of Comfort Boxes For Troops Serving On Operational Tours.
