Report of the trustees for the year ended 31[st] March 2024
1 Purpose of the Foundation
Under the terms of the Constitution, the Trustees apply funds at their discretion:
The Objects of the charity:
The relief of financial hardship of young people by making grants of money and other finance for providing, or paying, for items, services or facilities so that they can further their education, sporting or employment goals.
The Trustees of Alli Foundation seek to support those activities for purposes which help further the Objects.
2 Chairs statement
This year we have started to move the foundation forward. To this end we have appointed three new trustees.
The focus of the year has been to agree the best way to launch the foundation and how we can best support young people. We decided that we should focus on a small number of young people to test out our model. The plan being to invest in three or four young people and give them the springboard to launch their ideas in the fields of music, sport, fashion and business. Alongside financial support we will provide mentors for each young person.
We have received seed funding and are working to ensure that the young people have the right protection as they start their careers. We expect to be in a position to showcase progress later in 2025.
Our objects are to offer hope to young people who are suffering from financial hardship we recognise that 2025 will be a key year for us. We plan to be raising and distributing funds in 2025 and supporting young people in a variety of ways as they pursue their dreams.
