**Objects:** THE CHARITY'S OBJECT IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF OLDER PEOPLE AND THOSE RETIRED FROM FULL TIME WORK, BY ALL MEANS, INCLUDING ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES CONDUCIVE TO LEARNING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IN WHITEHILL/BORDEN AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

**Activities:** The U3A movement encourages it's members to share their knowledge and talents freely with each other in informal learning interest groups.  This self-help model empowers members to create their own opportunities to learn in the ways that suit members best.
