Grant payments are a combination of, mostly, restricted and, to a lesser degree, unrestricted funds. This is lower than previous years due to the suspension by Defra of importing commercial dogs from Romania between August 2023 to the end of November 2023. Grants made to enable our preferred rescuers to meet the costs for the welfare of the dogs in their care, so they can be fed and cared for. The funding of vet bills for dogs being treated for parvovirus and needing orthopaedic operations in Romania. The spay and neuter of 168 dogs. In addition, giving advice on the upkeep for those dogs that are owned and thereby improving their standards of welfare.
