Achievements and Performance

The event was held in Queens Park after the success of the 2022 event. We had over 700 people in our pride march and over 6,500 people in the park across the day. This year at Pride, we had food stalls, the family circus zone, quiet zone, live entertainment, an LGBTQIA+ info stall and our merch stall to raise much needed funds for our charity. 6 hrs of Entertainment, family circus zone supported by Out of the can. Inclusion: RevoLOOtion toilet, sign language interpreters and quiet zone supported by The Samaritans. Free bottles of water distributed during the event.

To celebrate our 15th anniversary we organised a week of activity on the week of Pride. We organised Pride pottery, Quiz night, film night, Fitness class, Pre pride party and a theatre night. The focus was to provide extra activity to bring the community together and where possible raise funds for pride.

● Attended local events: Rainbow fest, Wildcats, PGL Liddington, Lainesmead Primary School, Pimm's in the Park. We brought along our support leaflets, pride merch to sell and raise funds for pride as well as offering advice or signposting to support groups.

● We opened a Pride hub: A place to pick up FREE LGBTQIA+ info, We also have a seating area that provides a safe place to come and chat and hang out. We also sell items to help raise money for our charity. Providing free period products, condoms, along with sexual health information and other leaflets, promoting increased
awareness of issues and access to support

We use our social media and our website to signpost to local and national support groups. We post materials such as awareness days, information on pronouns and support groups.

● History was made shortly after noon on June 2nd 2023 when the flag of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride was hoisted over the Civic Offices Swindon for the first time in history! We have campaigned for years to make this happen and are extremely proud to finally make this happen with the support of Swindon council.

We hosted our very first Drag Queen story hour with Drag Queen story hour UK. Over 60 people attended. The purpose of this was to promote equity and diversity through storytelling

Rainbow walk refurbished – the steps were fixed by a local contractor and the pride committee painted rainbow walk the week before pride.

We have a dedicated useful links page on our website, kept up to date and new support links added of local and national services, groups and information pages

We have increased our selection of Pride merchandise to include more identities.

We focused our energy on updating the LGBTQIA+ support guide on adding in more information on identities, refreshing useful links and the information on support groups.3000 Pride Guides printed.Pride Guides distributed across Swindon & Wiltshire including: All libraries in Swindon, EE, Out of the can, Swindon hub, LGBTQIA+ Youth Group.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 08 / 2023.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
