The event was held in Queens<br>park as  an  alternative  location  to<br>previous year’s annual event held in<br>the  Old  Town  Garden:  Swindon  &<br>Wiltshire Pride Picnic. We were unable<br>to hold the main pride event at Old<br>Town Gardens, but we celebrated with<br>a family-friendly pride picnic. We had<br>over  500  people  in  our  first  pride<br>march  since  the  pandemic  and  over<br>3,000  people  in the  park  across  the<br>day. This year at the Pride Picnic, we<br>had incredible food, the youth zone,<br>live entertainment, an LGBTQIA+ info<br>stall and our merch stall to raise much<br>needed funds for our charity. 6 hrs of<br>Entertainment, Youth zone supported<br>by Out of the can and The Samaritans,<br>Inclusion: Mobiloo Pride Picnic Launch<br>fundraiser  over  £200. 100’s  of  free<br>bottles  of  water  distributed  on  the<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>

Pride Picnic (35C)<br>● Local school Beechcroft Infants<br>School got in touch with us as<br>they wanted to use Rainbow<br>walk in a school project “ We<br>are so proud that a piece of art<br>such as the Rainbow walk can<br>be used to get across such an<br>important message of<br>acceptance”<br>● Invited to the launch of the<br>Thames water drain cover. “A<br>specially designed drain cover<br>has been unveiled by Thames<br>Water in Swindon to celebrate<br>the LGBTQ+ community.”<br>● Attending local Prides: Reading,<br>Gloucester, Oxford, Melksham,<br>Stroud<br>● Large selection of different<br>identities available through our<br>Pride merchandise<br>● Social media, Info stall at<br>events, website, support Guide<br>● Rainbow walk refurbished –<br>received Trip Advisor Award<br>second year in a row (top 10%<br>of attractions worldwide)<br>● We attended Lainesmead<br>Primary School for their<br>summer fete. This was the first<br>time Swindon and Wiltshire<br>pride have attended a primary<br>school and it was an absolute<br>pleasure, the school and<br>families were so welcoming.<br>● We worked with Royal wootton<br>bassett school and provided<br>them with pronoun badges and<br>flags for them to celebrate<br>pride month.<br>● Signposting to support<br>organisations: scheduled<br>regularly on all our Social Media<br>Platforms<br>● Throughout 2022 SWP has been<br>contacted by people  seeking<br>support and information. Via<br>our website and through our<br>social media<br>● Educational posts on Social<br>Media<br>● Useful links page on our<br>website, kept up to date and<br>new support links added<br>● Youth Safe Space overseen by<br>Out of the Can LGBTQ+ Youth<br>Group<br>● LGBTQ+ Support Guide<br>produced. ## **Financial Review**

**Fundraising was mainly driven via merchandise and added suggested donations upon pride event ticket sales.**

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 08 / 2022. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
