Annual Report to Charity Commission – Year to 31 March 2021
The covid-19 pandemic had the effect of causing almost all development work on this new charity to cease due to restrictions on movement and resourcing. However, trustees did meet in June 2020 and then resumed meeting in the first quarter of 2021, to work towards resuming plans for the charity to begin its practical launch.
In the course of this trustees:

appointed Lisa Houlihan as an additional trustee

initiated a revision of the draft Strategic Plan

explored fresh grant and crowd-funding options

applied to HMRC for recognition for gift aid purposes

initiated planning with Nottingham Trent University for a research project on Early Childhood Studies

The charity’s bank account is held with Unity Trust Bank, PO Box 7193, Planetary Road, Willenhall WV1 9DG.
There was no Income for the year.
Expenditure was £97, made up as follows
Bank charges - £73
Sundry expenses - £25
Opening balance as at 1 April 2020 was £195.01
Closing balance as at 31 March 2021 was £98.01
