**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO ADVANCE THE PARTICIPATION, EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF ALL AGES IN THE SCIENCE OF BRASS BAND MUSIC IN CASTLETON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THROUGH THE PROVISION OF REHEARSAL FACILITIES, INSTRUMENT HIRE AND TUITION AND BY PARTICIPATION IN CONCERTS AND CONTESTS.

**Activities:** We are a brass band that plays for community activities in the Peak District (carnivals, well dressings, Garland ceremonies etc.).  We have a training section that provides free music tuition to aspiring brass players of all ages.
