Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
Our aim of this year was to continue to build on our relationships with the local care teams in order to create ongoing support for the children in care, and those young adults leaving the care system. Which this year (amongst other things) included providing gift vouchers for the Swindon CiC Awards Night, hosting a team building day for the Swindon CiC Council at one of our centres, and providing food parcels for Cirencester Food Bank, Cardiff Care Leavers and Swindon Care Leavers throughout the pandemic. Unfortunately, a number of our plans for the year were unable to go ahead due to Covid restrictions. |

Achievements and Performance

|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | During this very difficult year we believe that we have done as much as we can to continue supporting children in care in our communities. Before the Covid restrictions were in place we were able to provide gift vouchers for the award winners at the Swindon CiC Awards Dinner, which has given those children a huge sense of achievement. By organising a team building/mentoring day at one of our centres, the group of young people that attended were given the opportunity to be inspired by the man who runs all of the BMW Senior Management Training programmes. We hope that they left feeling driven to achieve whatever they put their minds to. Throughout the Covid restrictions we were able to deliver food parcels to Cirencester Food Bank, Swindon Care Leavers and Cardiff Care Leavers, in order to make sure that individuals who were affected financially by the pandemic were still able |
to have access to food, cleaning products and toiletries. We also supported The Swindon Food Collective, Bristol Food Bank, Tewkesbury Food Bank, Hungerford Food Bank, Cardiff Food Bank, Bath Food Bank and Melksham Food Bank with a pre-Christmas food delivery in order to support those who are suffering with food poverty in our local communities this Christmas.
