Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 As has been the case for most people it has been
a difficult year for the Foundation due to the
Pandemic. We have had dialogue with a couple
of hospices but due to the lockdown it has been
impossible to visit and discuss with them what
they might need and how the Foundation can be
of benefit to them.
We are aware that we do not want to rush
donations from the Foundation. After our two
donations to the NHS at the start of the
pandemic in the previous year (March 2020) we
are now concentrating on the upcoming year to
start using the Foundation as the country opens
again.
We were lucky to have one major contribution
(£10,000) this year from Wrotham Heath Golf
Club. This was my father’s club, and they held
several events before the pandemic, and we
received their donation in August 2020. We also
received donations from individuals from the
golf club and a donation from an artist who
auctioned a painting for us.
It is our intention to start using the money in the
upcoming year to provide support to registered
charities and hospices as set out in our
constitution. Mark Church is also intending to
run a marathon in 2022 to raise funds for the
Foundation.
