Since the Company qualifles as sail under Companies Act 2008 s 383, the strategic report required of large and medium companies under the Companies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Director's Report) Regulallons 2013 is nol required. Purpose and activities The Foundation was established to express the charitabla intentions of the Barbour family members who comprise the current trustees. Income and capital of the Foundation js to be used exclusively for charitable purposes at tha discretion of the trustees,
The legally permitted objectives of tha Company are wide and cover generally accepled charilable objects.
Objectives and activities for the public benofit Tha Objecis of the Foundation are for the public benefit such charitable purposes as the trustees may In thelr absolute discretion determine.
Grant making process
The Foundalion considers applications for funding from requesis, appeals and projects. Those which the trustees approve are then actioned by the Company Sacretary.
- Financial review, achlevements and performance
The Charity is in its second year of full operation. The majorily of Income raised during (he year consisted of donations from the public and from a “Crystal Ball" event held at Ihe and of 2024 in ald of Hope House Children's hospices. £18,700 was raised on the evening from the Charity Auction Lots and was donated to support Hope House, which provides centres ofexcellence for children's palliallve care. Administrative expenses relaled to this evant were donated by trustee enterprises.
Pians for future perfods
The Foundation has an adequate fund balance to meet its obligatlons. There are no plans to alter the approach of the Foundation currently which ts to carry out donaling to deserving causes as the Trustees wish, in accordance wilh the objectives of the charity,
Reserves policy and going concern
There are no annual financlal commitments other than those associated with compliance with the Charttles Commission and Companies Act compllance.
Related partles and co-operation with other organisations None of the trustees receive remuneration or olher benefit from the charity.

The trustees have a risk management Strategy which Is to keep administrative costs to a minimum and, as no financial
Investment Is currently undertaken, there is no investment risk to the Company.

Trustees’ responsibilities in relation to the financial statements We are responsible for preparing a trustees’ annual report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and UK accounting standards. Company law requires charity trustees to prepare financial statements for each year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Company and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the Company for each year. In preparing the financial statements we are required to:
select suitable accounting policias and then apply thern consistently;

observe the methods and principles of the Chanitlers SORP;
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

slate whether applicable UK accounting standards have been followed subjact to any material departures disclosed and expained in the financial statements;
prepare the financial statememnts on the going concern basis unless it is Inappropriate to presume that the charily will continue in business.
We ate responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with Tteasonable accuracy at any time the financtal position of the charity and to enabia us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. We are also responsible for safeguarding the assets ofthe charlly and hence undertaking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

As the charity's trustees of the Company (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law), you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act"). Having satisfled myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited for this year under Part 16 of the 2008 Act and are eligible for independent examination, | report in respect of my examination of your charity’s accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charitles Act 2011 (“the 2041 Act’). In carrying out my examination, | have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act. ,
