For the purpose of this clause 'socially excluded' means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one of more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; bereavement or old age; ill health (physical or mental).** **Activity - We provide a weekly gathering with a hot meal, sometimes have speakers on topics of local interest (eg. Local Police PCSO, Demetia Group supporters, Dogs Trust, Mountain Rescue, etc Members take part in a wide range of activities which currently include photography, woodwork, computer skills, DIY skills, gardening, here including the development of raised beds – homemade , board games, exchange visits with other Men's Sheds, trips (eg. Brecon Museum, Visits to the local beaches). Once a month we have a members consultation meeting where all are invited to feedback on the activities and generate ideas for future activities. We provide social and emotional support to members who would otherwise be isolated and lonely. We advertise on Facebook, in the local GP surgery and the GP has referred several of our members to join the charity to counter depression and loneliness. We arrange and participate in team competitions with other Men's Sheds (eg. walking football, indoor curling).** **We collect members savings for the local Credit Union who attend weekly to collect them for their individual accounts.
