In order to achieve the objects set out in the governing document Funpact runs courses within schools and local communities. Funpact focuses on 3 important aspects of education – the transition to secondary school, the safe transition between reliance on parents/carers in their every day life to growing in independence and also supporting children who struggle to make the most of school. Funpact also supports youth alumni who have completed one of the courses to become youth mentors who support Funpact by leading the updating of resources and workshop content as well as sharing their lived experience during sessions regarding starting secondary school, use of social media and keeping safe when travelling independently and with friends. These courses are run in fun, informative and interactive sessions led by qualified teachers, family support workers and other professionals where appropriate. By bringing together both the pupil and parent/carer together Funpact ensures that families have the opportunity to |
| learn and explore together and build a firm foundation of knowledge which can be built on further at home. |

Para 1.20 | YEAR 6th April 2024 – 5th April 2025 Funpact has made significant strides in partnership development and programme delivery over the past year, focusing on building relationships with local organisations and enhancing support for families and young people in Hammersmith & Fulham. Transition to Secondary sessions were delivered at primary schools in Hammersmith and Fulham and Family Hubs. In August follow-up at White City Place saw enthusiastic participation, with families expressing interest in future Bridging the Gap courses. The Bridging the Gap programme, despite challenges with venue changes and fluctuating attendance, successfully engaged families at Parkview |
and the White City Community Centre. The initiative now offers more flexible, one-off sessions to accommodate varying family needs. The Ambition 2 Success programme was delivered as a one-day workshop for a family facing school transition challenges, receiving highly positive feedback for its structured, confidence-building approach. Parents highlighted the benefits of breaking down future goals into manageable steps and praised Funpact's supportive engagement. New offerings to the community included the Love White City project, commissioned by the Gang Violence and Exploitation Unit, which successfully attracted around 30 attendees and encouraged collaborative work between parents and children. Funpact also supported WEST Youth Zone’s Just For Girls session, helping students prepare for the new academic year. Youth mentors continue to play a pivotal role, sharing lived experiences and ensuring resources are relevant and effective. Funpact’s safeguarding procedures have been strengthened with trained leads and ongoing policy updates with London Youth. Team members have contributed both front-line and behind-thescenes, supported by grant funding such as from Hammersmith United Charities. Overall, Funpact remains committed to flexible, impactful support for local families, while recognising and addressing the challenges in participation and engagement.
