**6.** Have the named trustees considered need for a collection license?

**7.** You state in the application that no land or property used by the organisation benefit from business rate relief. We understand that this includes the premises that will be used for the storage of products collected in the UK. Please inform us if that is incorrect.

**8.** We are told that staff overseas are founder trustees - what do you mean by that exactly? All of the trustees listed in the application are resident within England and Wales.

**9.** Can you confirm that the named trustees are able to review expenses claims and oversee charitable expenditure? Will any trustees receive expenses for activities undertaken overseas? Can you confirm that the trustees will follow our guidance on trustee expenses and payments? See:

- https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/trustee expenses-and-payments-cc11

**10.** Can you confirm that the named trustees have read our guidance on Charities Working Internationally: https://www.gov.uk/charities-how-to-manage-risks-whenworking-internationally?

Can you confirm that the named trustees are aware of our various toolkits that are available through the above link, including the compliance toolkit and the Charities and Terrorism toolkit?

## **Objects**

We have considered the objects at clause 3 of the constitution supplied with your application.

The first object states 'To relieve the daily living and educational needs'. By including 'educational needs' are you trying to state a purpose falling under the advancement of education? There is not much detail about that aspect although the provision of educational materials is mentioned and this could advance education in its own right.

You refer to the ‘economically poor’ and based on what you tell us the organisation may potentially prevent and/or relieve poverty.

The information presented does not demonstrate the need
