**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: 1) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AMONG SUFFERERS OF DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY (DMD) IN PAKISTAN AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE IN PARTICULAR BY: A) PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT, ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO SUFFERERS AND THEIR FAMILIES/CARERS. B) FUNDING RESEARCH INTO ALL AREAS RELATING TO DMD IN ORDER TO FIND A CURE. 2) ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO DMD.

**Activities:** To set up a centre of excellence in United Kingdom.  The very first institution of its kind where patients will be diagnosed, treated and monitored depending on the severity of the illness. At first, we will be looking to partner with other organisations (either government or private hospitals) with a view to using their facilities on a rental basis or free of charge.
