Report and Accounts of Innovira (charity number 1182370) Year Ending 31/12/2024
The trustees present their report and financial statements of Innovira (“the Charity”) for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Objectives and Activities
The objects of the Charity (as set out in its Constitution) are to promote the voluntary sector and promote the efficiency and effectiveness of other charitable organisations (for the benefit of the public) by:

Helping to build the capacity of small voluntary and community organisations and provide them with the necessary support, information and services to enable them to pursue or contribute to any charitable purpose

By giving advice and assistance to charities to enable them to meet their purposes
The Charity was founded in 2019 to achieve these objects by identifying and scaling ideas which the trustees believe have the potential to have significant public benefit.
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit, “Charities and Public Benefit”.
Achievements and Performance
In 2024, as in previous years, the primary project of the Charity was the “Future Friendly” project, which is intended to target small to medium sized businesses and provide mechanisms to encourage them to improve their organisations to be more sustainable, including the development of a platform for charities which have objects related to the environment and sustainability.
The plans for “Future Friendly” in 2024, as declared in the 2023 report, were:

If appropriate, consolidate learnings to plan for scale
The hope was to build on the pilot of a partnering organisation’s software application which was taking place in Bath. This app was also aimed at small businesses, and the sustainability element of “Future Friendly” complemented their core functionality. Unfortunately, despite considerable efforts to recruit a customer base, the partnering organisation decided that they needed to change the emphasis of their product, so the partnership ended.
The trustees have concluded that the best opportunity to deliver social value from the investment in the “Future Friendly” application is not to partner with another organisation, but instead to give it away. That is, to find another organisation with compatible charitable objects who can take advantage of the application to further their objects, and the resources to bring it in-house. We have begun this process.
This situation is reflected in the financial accounts, with lower spending than in previous years. We will seek further donations when further income is merited.
We also, in an informal way, continued to provide Informal mentoring and advice.
Plans for 2025
As stated above, the plan for the ”Future Friendly” project is to see if we can find an organisation who can create social value from the application, and are able to take it in-house.
Other than the “Future Friendly” project, plans are subject to the available capacity of the trustees and will focus on identifying great ideas and supporting individuals and organisations to develop those ideas through mentoring and advice. Realistically, with other pressures on the trustees’ time, we do not expect to begin anything new in 2025, but will maintain the charity until this situation changes, which we expect it will.
Financial Review
At the end of 2024 the Charity held unrestricted reserves of £59 and restricted reserves of £101. The restricted reserves are for sustainability projects, including the “Future Friendly” project. The unrestricted reserves result from bank interest less bank charges.
As the Charity has no regular expenses, except those that are currently paid for directly by the trustees, the reserves policy is simply to retain a positive balance. The trustees recognise that as the Charity’s activities develop, a reserves policy will need to be agreed.
In 2024 all the Charity’s donation income was from trustees and connected parties of the trustees. The trustees claimed no expenses, and paid several expenses directly, not from Charity funds. The trustees estimate that these expenses were up to £1,000.
Structure, Governance and Management
The Charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), established by Constitution which was registered with the Charity Commission on 7 March 2019.
The current trustees are also the founding trustees. The Charity has no paid staff.

Responsibilities and basis of report
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Charity”) for the year ended 31/12/2024.
As the trustees of the Charity, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
