God City London is governed and administered by an executive board comprising of the Board of Trustee. The Board of trustees are responsible for controlling the work, management and administration of the charity on behalf of its beneficiaries. It provides strategic leadership and the day to day administration and running of the charity. There are currently three serving members in the board of Trustees and five serving members.

The aims and purpose of God City London to promote the Christian religion through activities and events recommended and approved by the leadership of the charity has identified and approved the following as our main aims and purpose:

In planning our activities for the year, God City London guidance on public benefit and in particular the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. For wider public benefit purposes, the Charity in the course of the year has actively engaged in both congregational and community wide activities that are geared towards promoting social inclusion and empowering people to live a sustainable Christian life. Amongst them are;

In carrying out our activities both within and outside our worship centre, we always ensure that we do not compromise the core principles of our statement of faith as set out in our governing constitution.

ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE YEAR

Location : We have moved to a new location to better serve our community.

Online Presence : Our online platform has received new life and our traction is increasing. More people can now engage with our content.

Growth : Our membership has increased, and our leadership capacity has expanded.

Leadership Development : We have launched a new leadership training pipeline called The Crucible to cultivate and empower future leaders.

Welfare Purse : We have formally started a welfare drive to help our members who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and we hope to expand this into our community at large. Our goal is to be able to commit a minimum of 5% of our income to this.

Monthly prayer and network meetings for Christians from all works of life. Membership is open to other faith and religion.

The trustees present their annual report together with the unaudited financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] January 2025. The Trustees confirm that the Annual Report and financial statements of the charity comply with the current statutory requirements, the requirements of the Charity’s governing document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) “Accounting and Reporting by Charities” issued in March 2005.

REVIEW OF FINANCIAL POSITION

The financial statements covered the operation of Compassionate God City London they have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the 2005 Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)

For the year ended 31[st] January 2025, the financial activities show total incoming resources of £107152 (2024-£47,961) which is the total tithes and offering donations received from members. This was disbursed mainly on charitable activities and total expenditure amounted to,£105,955 2024- £50,043). We closed the year with a net operating profit of ££1,197.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE’S RESPONSIBILITIES

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustee’s report and the financial statement s in accordance with applicable law.

Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to:

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT OF THE MEMBERS OF GOD CITY LONDON

We report on the financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2025 which are set out in pages 7 to 9. This report is made solely to the Charity’s Trustees, as a body.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

As explained more fully in the Trustees’ responsibilities statement, the Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements.

The charity’s trustee consider that an audit is not required for this financial statement (under section43 (2) of the Charity Commission (under section 43(7) (b) of the Act), and to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.

Basis of Independent examiner’s report

Our examination was carried out in accordance with Charity SORP. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a “true and fair” view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
