KNOT ANOTHER CHOIR CIO Charity Number.. 1182311 Trustees Annual Report For the period ending 31st March 2025 STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing document The charity was established under a constitution (foundation model) dated 12th November 2018 and was registered on Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisatr'on (CIO) on 4th March 2019. Recruitment and appointsnent of Trustees The appointment of trustees is in accordance wth the Constitution. The Constitution states that there must be at least 3 trust￿ and the maximum number of io Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must te appointed for a term of three year by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. Trustee Induction and Training New trustees are provided with the Charity Commi5sions'Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees,, the Constitution, the latest statutory financial statements, Annual Report and copies of the minutes, Any addits'onal training required by the new trustees will be identified during induction and may be requested at any point by new and existing trustees, where tt is considered useful to their role as trustee. Organisational Strncture The board of trustees manages the Charity and aims to consider only strategic decisions at its meetings, Trustees are aware that any conflict of interest is declared and recorded, and the person will be withheld from part of the meeting and will not be able to vote on that item. The Board holds an Annual Open Meeting every year, other than that any Charity Trustee can request a meeting during the year. Risk Management The major risks to which the Charity is exposed, as identified by the Trustees, have been reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks. All systems and procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure they meet charity law and our own organisations aims and objectives.

KNOT ANOTHER CHOIR CIO Charity Number. 1182311 Trustees Annual Report For the period ending 31st March 2025 OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objects The objett of the CIO is: l- To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see frt, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals. 2- To provide facilities which promote the practice or enjoyment of the art of music for recreation or other leisure time occupation and to make them available in the interests of social welfare to individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large with the object of improving conditions of life. 3- To support such general charitable purposes according to the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may in their absolute discretion determine through the provision of grants. 4- Singing together weekly as Community Choir benefitting the mental health of members, promoting friendship and enabling members to gain new singing skills or improving their existing skills 5- Providing entetsinment for the local community through holding concerts. Public benefft The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty, contained in Settion 4 of the Charities Att 2011, to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission. The charitable purpose of the charity within the meaning of the att is contained within its objetts stated above. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Review of the financial period Knot Another Choir is a Community Choir, based in Knaresty)rough, North Yorkshire. We meet weekly for rehearsals in our local Church Hall, led by our Musical Direttor and Accompanist. We regularly tske part in concerts and festivals in the local area, and sometimes elsewhere in the UK. We also hold singing workshops primarily for members, sometimes with guest visitors invited to join us. The major event this year was to take the choir to Ireland to enter the Limerick Intemational Choir Festival held at Limerick University. this was a wonderful 3-day event which everyone enjoyed. We do not hold auditions, and anyone within the community is welcome to join, subject only to a waiting list for places if applicable at the time. In September and Januaryi we

In additlon, the ftiendships that members fomi are invaluable for many. We would also like to think that our singirYJ benefits the wlder community when we hold concerts! The defiat for the perlod was £8,835 Policy on reserves The charitys reserve pollcy is to IK)Id a minimum of 12 weeks operational costs. FIrnIRE PLANS In 2025126 we plan to tske part in two national compebbve choir fe5￿valS as well as performing at our regular l¢xal events. Statement of Trustee's responsibllities Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financkll perlod. The Charity has elected to prepare ts accounts on the Receipts and Payments basis In line with the CharitES Att 2011 which allows non-compary tharitie5 with an income of less than £250,000 to prepare their accounts on this basis. The Trustees confimi that the accounts comply wlth the above requirements. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accountiTr3 records which disclo* with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial Position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Att 2011.
