SORP reference<br>KAC is a Community Choir, based in<br>Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. We<br>meet weekly for rehearsals led by our<br>Summary of the main  Musical Director and Accompanist. In<br>addition, the friendships that<br>members form are invaluable for<br>many. ## **Financial Review**

Review of the charity’s  Para 1.21 At 31 March 2022 our Cash Reserves<br>financial position at the  were £3,870, all of which represents<br>end of the period Unrestricted Funds. Income is<br>primarily derived from membership<br>subscriptions and fees for workshops.<br>Our principal costs are fees for our<br>self-employed Musical Director and<br>Accompanist and also venue hire for<br>rehearsals, workshops and concerts.<br>We do not directly employ any staff.<br>Statement explaining  Para 1.22 Reserves are held for the purposes of<br>the policy for holding  ensuring that KAC can continue to<br>reserves stating why  operate in times when our income<br>they are held may fall (such as the pandemic in<br>2020/21) to fund reduced<br>subscriptions for those in financial<br>difficulty and also to enable us to<br>further develop our choir. We operate<br>a scheme for those under 25 which<br>means they do not have to pay a<br>subscription (to encourage younger<br>people to join KAC).
