Activities

The main aim of the Barton Road Centre CIO is to address and improve the health and wellbeing of people (primarily) in South Lancaster; to promote and develop intergenerational relations and generally to support our aging local people to live independently in our community for as long as they are able.

Objects: To Improve The Conditions Of Life For The Residents Of South Lancaster And The Neighbourhood, Without Distinction Of Age, Gender, Ability Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare And Recreation.to Establish Or Secure A Community Centre And To Maintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Charity In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.
