Encounter Arena trustees and the founder are responsible for making decisions on all matters we meet regularly through the year for planning and training and report back regularly with minutes of their decisions We are collectively responsible for spiritual affairs within the church. New members receive initial training into the workings of the Encounter Arena the areas which include worship, prayer and outreach. The trustees meet regularly in the year for planning and training and report back regularly with minutes of their decisions to the founder and discussed as necessary. 

The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Church and must take reasonable steps for the prevention and/or detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The trustees confirm that they have referred to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on Public Benefit when reviewing and shaping the charity’s aims and objectives for the year and planning future activities. The charity works to ensure that its programmes are inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs of its beneficiaries, in particular, the supplementary guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. In particular, we teach to live out their faith as part of our community through: 

Worship and prayer; learning about the Gospel; and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus.

Provision of pastoral care. Missionary and outreach work. Encounter Arena is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our church and to become part of our community at Chafford Hundred, Essex and through live services also streamed online social media services. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer and scripture, and worship. We have a special prayer and worship services on the 4[th] Sunday of the month, weekly bible studies and various events through the year. 

Encounter Arena offered a range of services during the week and over the course of the year to build communities and bring people together. We offer key services such as mentorship and counselling. As well as our regular services, we enable our community to celebrate and thank God at the milestones of the journey through life. Through birthday celebrations baby dedications, and through bereavement counsel support services for friends and family. We were also able to provide mental health services incorporating the natural environment to ensure sustainability due to the climate change challenges.

This year we continued our strong focus on mental wellbeing. We were able to equip people ad train them as mental health firstaiders. We also worked local organisations in the area making collaborations and learning from each other. We would like to thank all he volunteers who gave their time and expertise.

Encounter Arena would like to put in practice to try to maintain a balance on unrestricted funds this is equivalent to a minimum £200. It is held to smooth out fluctuations in cash flow and to meet emergencies. This year we were able to increase this amount.

The principal source of income is the weekly offering, paid by cash or bank transfer. 

We were grateful for a grant from the Benefact trust and National community fund This enabled us to reach our key objectives of the charity The advancement of the Christian faith, for the benefit of the public.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year period ending **31/12/2021.** 

**Respective responsibilities** of **trustees and examiner** 

As the charity's trustees (and also, its directors of **ENCOUNTER ARENA** for the purposes of 

company law) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act'). 

Having satisfied myself that the accounts of

are not required to be audited 

under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, 1 report in respect of my examination of your charity's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act'). In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of ENCOUNTER ARENA as   required by section 

386 of the 2006 Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
