OBJECTIVES

Objectives of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) are:

1) To advance the education of the public in subjects relating to farming, conservation, and country crafts in particular but not exclusively by providing courses, workshops and talks.

2) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship, social circumstances or for the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Bosavern Community Farm Charitable (BCFC) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and was registered with the Charity Commission on the 27th February 2019. Its registration number is 1182238.

The CIO uses the 'Foundation' model constitution and only voting members are its charity trustees.

New Trustees of the Charity are elected by the current Trustees of the charity at a General Meeting. The Trustees aim to recruit Trustees with a wide range of skills and experience, and who can help the charity fulfil its objectives.

Trustees are provided with key documents on appointment and are encouraged to attend appropriate external training courses where these will facilitate the understanding of their roles.

ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES IN THE YEAR

During the year 1[st] April 2024 to 31[st] March 2025 two grants of £500 and £400 were awarded by Bosavern Community Farm Charity to Bosavern Community Enterprises towards staff/volunteer training costs.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Excluding the two grants made, detailed above we incurred no other costs or expenses. Income of £60 was received during the year, from a Jumble Sale organised by a Trustee. We have also been made aware that the charity has been left a bequeathment in the Will of someone who had a local connection, and we are awaiting details.
