TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT

The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] December 2025.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

To relieve the needs of people in North West England, including but not exclusively in the Blackburn and wider East Lancashire regions who are in need, hardship or distress, and in particular by providing support, education, and temporary and longer terms accommodation with the object of improving their conditions of life within a Christian ethos.

The trustees have complied with the requirements of the Charity Commission with regard to public benefit.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Arise Restoration Centre continued to provide its Crisis Intervention and Crisis Prevention services through the application of its three component “Health and Wellbeing Initiative”.

In September 2025 Arise extended its operations to a second location at Unit 4 --- 14 Cornhill, Arndale Shopping Centre, Accrington BB5 1EX, Hyndburn Borough, serving the same target population as in Blackburn with Darwen.

In November 2025 Arise became a community member of “Neighbourly Food Programme” and was assigned to two Aldi stores, collecting surplus food Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Arise has been a community member of FareShare Food Go Scheme since April 2021, collecting surplus food weekly from two ASDA and two TESCO stores. FareShare’s Arise report for the period April 2021 thru December 2025 is as follows:

Arise is currently distributing food, hygiene products, and clothes to over 900 people weekly in Blackburn with Darwen Borough.

Arise's team has grown to 11 dedicated volunteers

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The charity is reliant on donations and small grants. At the year end, the funds of the charity amounted to £19.76. A reserves policy is being formulated.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

The charity is established as a CIO – Foundation Registered 27 February 2019. The trustees are appointed by the existing trustees as and when a need arises; the trustee body meets on a regular basis to consider the work of the charity.

Risk Review

The Trustees are introducing a risk management process to assess business risks and implement systems to mitigate these risks.
