Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Since its foundation in 2018 and registration in 2019, Macclesfield Pride has worked alongside Macclesfield Town Council and local agencies, businesses and supportive individuals, to promote equality, inclusion and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community, in our town and local area. The Trustees, through a working Committee and utilising volunteer help, have held one major annual Pride event each year and also many other smaller events to fulfil our various objectives. Through the work of Macclesfield Pride, attitudes have changed, people have been educated and lives have been enhanced by the freedom and more inclusive atmosphere that has resulted. |

Financial Review
| Financial Review | ||
|---|---|---|
| Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period |
Para 1.21 | Income and expenditure were almost identical leading to a near net zero impact on funds held. We left 2023 well placed to finance MaccPride event in 2024 with anticipated support/sponsorship from local businesses and community groups and Local Community Grant from Macclesfield Town Council. We have devised sponsorship packages following requests from local and larger businesses, which also serves to meet integration objectives of the charity. |
| Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held |
Para 1.22 | No specific reserves are held. However sufficient positive balance funds are maintained at a level to ensure an ability to pay all annual event costs. This ensures financially stability should there be a poorly attended, or last minute cancelled, main event (for example due to adverse weather) |
| Amount of reserves held | Para 1.22 | None |
| Reasons for holding zero reserves |
Para 1.22 | Bank holdings are sufficient but not large enough create a reserve amount at this time |
