The Charity continued to support
students in Malawi, Zimbabwe, and
Zambia with school fees, uniforms, and
learning materials. A total of 313 students
have been supported since inception,
with 7 progressing to university.
Monitoring was strengthened through
school and guardian engagement.
Empowerment:
Over 80 women received training, sewing
machines, or business support in 2024–
25. A total of 563 women have been
empowered since inception, with 33
families becoming self-sustained.
Equip:
The Charity distributed 283 survival kits,
food hampers, bicycles, sewing
machines, and mobility aids. These
interventions improved mobility, reduced
hunger, and increased school attendance
and safety.
UK Activities:
The Charity expanded support for
refugee and asylum-seeking women in
Heathrow. Activities included a

Christmas outreach, domestic violence awareness workshop sessions, and partnership engagements for DVA education with fundraising at events.

The directors are responsible for preparing the report and accounts in accordance with applicable law and regulations.

Under that law, the directors have elected to prepare the accounts in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). 1 Statutory information

Against All Odds Still Standing is a private company, limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, registration number 08672262. The registered office is 18 TUDOR CLOSE, DARTFORD, KENT, DA1 3HU.

2 Compliance with accounting standards

The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.

3 Accounting policies

The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.

Basis of preparation

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.

Presentation currency

The accounts are presented in £ sterling.

Charitable Activities

The £7,00 of the donations were used to fund initiatives in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia. £2,400 was spent in Zimbabwe and £2,300 each in Malawi and Zambia in helping women set up viable businesses in their area of interest. Relevant training was also provided to help the beneficiaries run their business successfully. �

A part of the funds went towards paying school fees for some of the children to ensure they continue with education. �

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the
Company for the year ended 02/03/2025.
Responsibilities and As the charity’s trustees of the Company (who are also the directors of the
basis of report company for the purposes of company law), you are responsible for the
preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the
Companies Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required
to be audited for this year under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for
independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your
charity’s accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011
(“the 2011 Act”). In carrying out my examination, I have followed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the
2011 Act.
Independent The company’s gross income does not exceed £250,000 and I am qualified
examiner's statement to undertake the examination by being a qualified member of the
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that:
• accounting records were kept in accordance with section 386 of the
Companies Act 2006
• the accounts do comply with relevant accounting requirements under
section 396 of the Companies Act 2006 and the accounts give a ‘true and
fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent
examination; or
•the accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP
(FRS102).
