The Trustees aim is very much focused on our objectives but until the COVID restrictions are totally lifted it is difficult to envisage what progress we can make. Although COVID restrictions should not have cut off fundraising it would be unrealistic to have expected the Trustees (who are all in the older age bracket) to have been active in this area. We have been following the solo sailor Tony Curphey on his sailing adventure to St Helena (in the south Atlantic). He obtained 4 bottles of seawater (2 from below the Equator; and 2 from above) to see if they contained plastic. (none seen). On route he reported seeing floating plastic every day.
