POTTERS HOUSE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP UK NEWCASTLE CHURCH
Trustees’ Annual Report For the Period 01 January 2024 to 31 December 2024
Summary of main activities in relation to these objects
Objectives and Activities
The Charity exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to teach people the Bible. All our activities reflect these core goals.
To this end, the church arranges and participates in:
-
Bible Conferences
-
Marriage Seminars
-
Men’s Discipleships
-
Harvester’s Homecoming
-
Youth & Victory Rallies
-
Revival Meetings with visiting preachers
The Trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
2024 has been another year of blessing, both spiritually and financially.
-
We have continued our usual programme of activities, but experienced a significant breakthrough at the end of 2023, when numerous individuals and families were added to the church. Within the space of one month, the congregation almost doubled in size.
-
In September 2024, we successfully secured a larger building to accommodate this growth. This represents a major milestone in the life of the church, providing space for future expansion and enabling us to continue serving our community effectively.
-
Our ability to support fellowship events and ministry opportunities financially at a greater capacity has also been an important achievement this year.
-
Throughout 2024, we have continued to see lives changed, people discipled, and families strengthened through the faithful preaching of God’s Word.
-
To facilitate what God is doing in people’s lives, we arranged additional revival meetings, which is reflected in the increased costs.
-
While expenditure has risen, this represents a worthwhile investment in the mission and aligns directly with the charity’s objectives.
-
Securing a new building in September 2024 also represents a significant financial step, but one that will sustain the ministry for years to come.
2
Financial Review
The church’s finances have grown in line with its membership, both in terms of income and expenditure.
Trustee Changes
-
We record our sincere thanks to Danny Crisp, who resigned as a Trustee in December 2024 in order to pursue missionary work. We are grateful for his faithful service and pray for God’s blessing on his future ministry.
-
We also welcome Samuel Holt , who took over as Trustee in 2024 , and we value his ongoing contribution to the governance and direction of the charity.

The charity has no reserve policy. Restricted funds are normally used up when raised.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS
To the Trustees of
POTTERS HOUSE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP UK
NEWCASTLE CHURCH For the Year ended 31 December 2024
Charity number 1182169
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31[st] December 2024, which are set out on Pages 6 and 7.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act
have not been met; or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
